In Pavlograd, a man suffered severe injuries after being struck on the head with a hammer, leading to his admission to intensive care with an open cranial brain injury. This was reported by "Vідомо" citing Бегемот.
According to court documents, the assailant, while under the influence of alcohol, was near the victim's home. During a conflict that arose between them, the suspect went home, retrieved a hammer, returned, and struck the victim on the head.
As a result, the victim sustained serious injuries, including a concussion, an impression fracture of the parietal bone, a linear fracture of the occipital bone, and pneumocephalus. These injuries are considered severe and life-threatening.
The suspect's actions were classified under Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which prescribes punishment for intentional serious bodily harm.
During the court session, the accused admitted his guilt and agreed to the proposed measure of restraint — house arrest.
