With the principled position of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office in collaboration with the Novomoskovsk District Prosecutor's Office of the Dnipropetrovsk region, a citizen has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for conducting photo and video surveillance of military facilities. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the press service of the Kiev City Prosecutor's Office.
"By the verdict of the Novomoskovsk City District Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region, a resident of the Luhansk region, who moved to Dnipro, was found guilty of disseminating information about the movement, location, or positioning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations established in accordance with Ukrainian laws, with the potential for their identification in the area, for mercenary motives (Part 2, 3 Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and was sentenced to 10 years in prison," the statement reads.
The prosecutors who supported the charges in court proved that the man, at the behest of curators from Russian special services for a modest reward, voluntarily agreed to cooperate and conducted video surveillance of military facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, specifically a military hospital, a military educational institution, as well as checkpoints, and sent the photo and video files to the client.
During a repeat shooting in September 2022, the "photographer" was apprehended. The accused is currently in custody.
