The police in Dnipro have forwarded a case against a man who threatened his dormitory neighbors with a grenade to the court. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.
The report about the crime came from concerned residents of the dormitory in the Industrial district of the city at the end of December last year.
As the police discovered, the perpetrator had a conflict with his neighbors, and afterwards, he pulled a grenade from his pocket and threatened to detonate it.
After receiving a description of the thief, officers arrested the suspect and seized the explosive device from him. He turned out to be a previously convicted local resident.
Investigators from the police department informed the man of the suspicion under part 1 of article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigators completed the pre-trial investigation regarding the suspect, and on January 23, they submitted the indictment to the court.
