In the Dnipropetrovsk region, police officers built a house for their chief instead of performing their duties (PHOTO)

In Dnipro, the head of one of the departments of the Main Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, along with his deputy and five officers, will be prosecuted, as reported by "Vidiomo" citing the Dnipropetrovsk Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation revealed that the department head had involved his subordinates in the construction of his private house while on duty.

Despite their absence from the workplace and the failure of the employees to fulfill their official duties, the deputy head of the department falsified records in the personnel logs and paid them salaries. As a result, the state lost over 700,000 hryvnias, while the police officers did not carry out their direct responsibilities.

They are charged with misappropriation of another's property through abuse of official position, committed by an organized group, and official forgery (Part 5 of Article 191, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
