In Kamensk, elevators are being widely "destroyed" (PHOTOS).

As of February 2025, which has not yet come to an end, more than 10 cases of elevator equipment theft have been reported in Kamensky. This may indicate the activity of an organized group. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing "Sobitie".

It has been noted that vandals have damaged elevators in residential buildings along Builder Boulevard, Hetman Sagaidachny, and Chizhenko. Additionally, during the last weekend of January, equipment from two of the four elevators in one of the city's hospitals, where local residents and military personnel undergoing rehabilitation receive treatment, was destroyed. These elevators are crucial for transporting patients to the intensive care unit, trauma unit, operating room, etc.

According to Maxim Logvinenko, the head of KP "Dobrobut," all elevator rooms were secured and locked; however, the thieves broke the locks (in some cases, they bent the railing grates to access the locked elevator doors).

The thieves used crowbars to break the doors and stole essential components of the elevator systems, complicating their restoration. In the hospital, parts were stolen that cannot be officially purchased due to sanctions against Belarus.

Reports have been filed with the police, but law enforcement has not yet managed to locate the perpetrators.
