On July 3, two residents of Kryvyi Rih held a gathering with vodka, during which they quarreled over who would be the first to go to the front lines to defend Ukraine, reports "Vidsmo" citing "Kryvyi Rih LIFE".

The conflict quickly escalated into aggression, and the host grabbed a knife, stabbing his opponent in the chest.

As a result, the victim sustained a stab wound to the chest along the scapular line in the projection of the 9th rib, causing damage to the left lung.

It is noteworthy that after treatment, the victim went off to war. Furthermore, he did not exercise his right to file a civil suit but submitted a request for the court proceedings to take place in his absence, citing his military service. He also asked the court not to deprive the accused of freedom and to avoid imposing a harsh penalty.

However, for severe bodily harm, on October 22, the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kryvyi Rih found the attacker guilty, sentencing him to five years in prison and ordering him to pay for the judicial traceological expertise amounting to 3029.12 hryvnias.
