In Kryvyi Rih, a robber was tracked down using geolocation.

Recently, police in Kryvyi Rih apprehended a man suspected of being involved in the robbery of a local resident in an apartment building, during which a mobile phone was stolen. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Patrol Police of Kryvyi Rih, as conveyed by "Vidomo".

The patrol officers received a report of the robbery on Elektrozavodska Street in the Pokrovsk district of Kryvyi Rih.

The victim stated that while he was opening the entrance door, an unknown individual snatched his mobile phone and fled.

The complainant informed that she had the geolocation of the man's device, which allowed for the quick identification of the suspected offender's location.

At one of the pawn shops in the Dolgintsevsky district, the staff recognized the assailant based on the description provided by the victim. The pawn shop refused to accept the phone without identification, prompting the man to leave with a promise to return with his passport.

The patrol officers searched the surrounding area and spotted a man matching the description. The individual attempted to flee from the police but was stopped about a hundred meters away, where handcuffs were applied.

The suspected robber was handed over to investigators from the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department.
