On that day, the man was celebrating his birthday with friends, and upon returning home, he demanded that his wife give him his mobile phone.

The husband grabbed his wife by the hair and began to drag her into the hallway. The woman was holding the very axe she used for chopping meat and defended herself from the aggressor by striking him in the back with the blade.

As a result, the victim sustained severe bodily injuries, including a non-penetrating stab-wound to the rear side of the chest on the right side in the 7th intercostal space, and a penetrating stab-wound to the rear side of the chest on the right side in the 6th intercostal space, complicated by pneumothorax.

Even before the court's verdict, the couple reconciled and forgave each other for all grievances, and they began living together again, which they informed the judge about.

The man also noted that he has stopped consuming alcoholic beverages and has a steady job.

The Kryvyi Rih District Court on February 26 found the citizen guilty and sentenced her to two years of imprisonment, but with a probation period of one year.
