In Podgorodnoye, a tenant has fatally attacked an elderly homeowner.

In the Podgorodnoye district of Dnipro, during an argument, a man inflicted fatal stab wounds on a 68-year-old victim, with whom he was temporarily living in the same house. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

On January 7, the police received a report of a murder in the city of Podgorodnoye. Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered that the suspect had been living for some time in the victim's home. The day before, during a shared leisure time, a conflict arose between them, during which the offender grabbed a knife and struck the homeowner three times. After that, the attacker called out to the neighbors and informed them that he had found the homeowner dead.

Law enforcement officials detained a 32-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and seized the murder weapon – a knife.

On January 7, the investigative departments of the police, in coordination with the Slobozhansk District Prosecutor's Office, informed the detained individual of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 115 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article's sanctions is up to 15 years of imprisonment. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
