Two serial thieves were arrested in Pyatykhatky (PHOTO).

Investigators in Pyatykhatky have submitted indictment acts to the court against two men involved in a series of thefts. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the Kamenka District Police Department.

Law enforcement officials determined that a 45-year-old suspect stole from four acquaintances. While visiting, the suspect took the victims' belongings when they left their property unattended. In this manner, he acquired two mobile phones, a laptop, and an electric chainsaw.

The 50-year-old suspect stole from two acquaintances and two local residents. He took four mobile phones and smartwatches from the victims while they were distracted with other matters and not watching over their belongings.

In total, the criminals committed eight property crimes in the city.

The stolen items were located by law enforcement and returned to their owners.

In coordination with the October District Prosecutor's Office, both men were informed of their suspicion under Part 4 of Article 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment to the court. The penalty for this article includes imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.
