In Samara, a dealer of hard drugs has been apprehended.

In the city of Samara, Dnipropetrovsk region, police apprehended a 33-year-old local resident during a methadone sale. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

It was discovered that the suspect sold drugs during personal meetings with buyers at pre-arranged locations on the streets of the city.

On November 2, investigators, together with operatives, documented the illegal activities of the man.

During a search of the offender's home, law enforcement seized polyethylene packages containing methadone, electronic scales, dried branches of the narcotic plant cannabis, ground marijuana, and money obtained through criminal means. All seized items were sent for examination.

The drug dealer was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On November 4, investigators informed the man of his suspicion under Part 1 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, or shipment for the purpose of sale, as well as illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

For the committed offense, he faces a penalty of up to 8 years of imprisonment. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
